Dear All,

Firstly, a massive well done to all of our teams who put on such amazingly good performances over the weekend. The reports I have had back from Worthing have been outstanding both on performance and how the teams played the games – so very well done to all of you and lots of great pictures on the Facebook page. Our U14 Development team also had a brilliant team performance against Brighton. Despite playing virtually the whole game with one player less than Brighton, the boys effort, team spirit and quality of rugby was of the highest standard and lost out to a try from the last play of the match. Our U13 girls had an extremely long day in Dorking. Joining up with Horsham we were able to field two teams in the 7s tournament and then after 4 tough games each, joined up to finish with a 12 a-side match v Dorking – our girls capping a great day with a fine victory. Back at the club, our U12s hosted Haywards Heath in a series of training matches which gave lots of opportunity to be tested and learn new things.

Turning to this weekend there are changesto the published fixtures.

Due to a big cycling event starting from BHA this Sunday, and the knock on effect of limited parking, we WILL NOT be hosting Crowborough U7 and U8s as shown on the fixtures sheet. Training WILL BEon for the U6/U7/U8 at BHA but we would strongly recommend you walk if you can, or car share where possible.

Our U9/U10/U11 WILL NOT be going to Crowborough either due to poor pitch conditions. So at present, the plan is for these teams to train at the club but please keep an eye out for communications from your team coaches in case of any last minute change of plans.

U12s are hosting Horsham and U14s are hosting Uckfield. So, again, parking at the club will be limited. Can you please walk if possible, car share if you need to drive, and if you know the surrounding area, please consider parking down Malt House Lane and walking through via the small nature reserve to the bottom of the club, or park round at the industrial estate and walk through. This will enable our vistors to park without blocking the whole of Poveys Close.

It will be busy at the Club so can ask parents of U10 and U11s to organise yourselves to provide helpers in the kitchen for teas and coffees between 10 and 11:45; U12 parents can you take over when the U12 match is finished at 11:45 until about 12:45. U14 parents will be organising post match food for the boys after the Uckfield match.

Many thanks and hope to see a number of you this Sunday.
