Once again, we had a beautiful day for rugby yesterday – heavy rain Saturday to soften the pitches and then glorious sunshine all morning – perfect!
A great result for the U14 Development team winning their first league match of the season away against Horsham – well done all!
At the club, it was a lot busier than we throught it was going to be with Shoreham visiting the U12s for a friendly and U10s and U11s not heading to Hastings after all. So many thanks to parents of the U8s for providing loads of support in the kitchen and to Tamara and Carol for managing the rush after the friendly finished and getting everything tidied up. We really couldn’t do what we do without ongoing support so thank you.
This weekend, many of you are off to festivals at Crawley or Eastbourne – the very best of luck to you all and hope you have very enjoyable days. We will only have the U6s, U12s and the U13 girls training at home this Sunday. I can only keep reminding you all – but if you know of any Year 6,7 or 8 girls who would be interested in coming along to give rugby a go, they would be made very welcome. A 6 week taster programme for Year 7 & Year 8 girls kicked off at BH Academy last week and we are hoping that will help support recruitment.
On the kitchen rota, we have U6 parents from 10-11 and U12 parents from 11-12.30. This is likely to be the quietest weekend ever serving teas/coffees so a good one to volunteer for!!!
Have a good week
