A group of the BHRFC girls section travelled to the newly named Alliance stadium to watch the Red Roses take on New Zealand with the first and second ranked teams facing off against each other in what was billed as a mouthwatering encounter.
Watched by some potential future Red Roses, England Women absorbed early Black Ferns pressure and showed some solid defence, with England running in 3 first half tries through Marlie Packer, Abby Dow and Ellie Kildunne, ending the half 17-0.
The second half saw an England try from ‘Mo’ Hunt before the visitors scored 2 of their own, the game finishing with a Red Roses victory, 24-12 to England.
The BHRFC Girls had a great time, laughing and joking with opposition fans and dancing and singing along to the half time entertainment.
The girls were treated to some thrilling running rugby and brilliant defence, providing further inspiration to this talented group of girls.
We look forward to the next match!
