Captain of the Black Widows, Jenny has been the Club’s Player of the Year and Coach of the Year in recent years. Despite being new to the sport (and vertically challenged!) she excelled at Rugby. Fierce in the tackle, tenacious with the boot and she could run all day.

“The bigger they are, the harder they fall!” I once told her from the sideline. “Problem is Shills, they’re all bigger than me!”

However, Jenny will be remembered by the club for much more than her rugby playing skills. Coaching with her beloved U14s alongside Jason John, her influential leadership and tireless devotion to raising money following her diagnosis made Jenny stand out against other mortals. A kinder, more generous, more sympathetic and inspirational soul you could not find. Our thoughts got to her husband Steve, her dog Rosie and all her family and friends.
