Members of BHRFC junior section took part in the Spartan kids race this weekend in true All Black spirit with the sun on their backs, smiles on their faces and mud under their feet.
The 3km race was littered with obstacles, including cargo nets, spear throwing, rope climbs, medicine balls to carry and lots of other challenging activities to keep our baby blacks occupied.
Taking part in the race proved to be a tough experience for the kids, but they all stepped up, working together to overcome all the obstacles the course could throw at them. They showed endurance, strength and great teamwork, as no player was left on their own over the 3km course.
They all completed the course and went home with a well deserved medal, a Spartan t-shirt, free smoothie and an enormous sense of pride.
