It was fantastic to see all of the team from last season returning, and we also welcomed some new faces who showed considerable potential talent, fitting right in with the rest of the gang and quickly learning the basics of the game and playing their part too the full.

With more late beginners and newbies to come, the future is looking bright for the U8s.
The brilliant weather brought out the best in all of the kids and, after such a long school holiday it was amazing to see how much technique and skill had been retained by the boys and girls and how quickly they adapted to the new rules under which we are to play this year.
Parental support, which is vital, was fantastic, and the touchline was full of enthusiastic cheering and encouragement, even during the much needed water breaks.

We look forward to many more weeks of sunshine and smiles (although there is absolutely no guarantee of the former) in the coming months and a successful festival season throughout the year.
