If you build it they will come.

We are underway...

The senior mens rugby season kicks off today with a pre season match Vs Seaford at home played over quarters, KO 2:30pm.

The men's team have had a great summer preparing under Head Coach Tutts and we are all looking forward to getting back on the field.

The building blocks of Project Reset have been laid and we are establishing the culture and behaviours that will propel us forward towards our club goals.

A key part of the culture being established is unity and oneness with all parts of the club supporting each other to deliver the same objective. With that in mind we look forward to the Black Adders (our walking rugby team) opening proceedings today with their game against Seaford's walking rugby team KO 12;30pm. We are also joined today by some of our juniors and junior coaches.

A quick word on our opposition today... Seaford had a great season last year and put us to the sword on the 3 occasions we played. They have done a great job and building all facets of their club over recent years and now have a great set up. They are in the league above us this season and we look forward to seeing them kick on and challenge the status quo come the business end of the season.

We are looking forward to life in a new league playing old friends we have not played in a number of seasons like Barns Green, Midhurst and Newick as well as a host of 2nd teams and the odd "international" fixture Vs Jersey Royals!

Right that's enough from me for now. We hope to see our community join us for a beer in the (cough) sunshine this afternoon cheering on the black shirt.

It feels great to be back!

Yours in rugby
